Dingli Awarded China Mobile 5G Test And Measurements 2020 Annual Contracts

December 26, 2019. Dingli’s Pilot Pioneer won part of the China Mobile’s nationwide 5G Mobile Network Maintenance Instrument 2020 tender for 5G field test and scanner solution (in cooperation with Rohde & Schwarz, hereinafter referred to as R&S). Dingli is the only vendor that is awarded with two contracts, and will provide network testing services for the China Mobile 5G network large-scale deployment.

China Mobile, in leading the 5G commercialization effort, has initiated a request for tender for 5G mobile network field test solution and multi-channel scanner. This is the first large-scale open tender for 5G mobile network test instrument in China. Dingli’s advanced multi-technology Pilot Pioneer field test solution complies with the requirement, supporting 5G test terminals and frequency scanner to meet the various network testing and troubleshooting use cases. 

Pilot Pioneer superior technical capability is complimented with the support of Qualcomm and HiSilicon SA/NSA 5G chipset-based test terminals, and ranked at the top for its technical features. Pilot Pioneer 5G has been widely used by China’s major network operators (China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom) and top system vendors (such as Huawei, Ericsson, ZTE and Nokia) and other device vendors to assist with its 5G network deployment and optimization.

The 5G scanner solution is a collaboration between Dingli and R&S where the R&S TSME6 multiband and multi-technology ultra-compact field test scanner capable of simultaneous measurements (spectrum test, TopN, automatic channel detection to name a few) with superior reliability, accuracy and enhanced test functions top the tender technical score. China Mobile had previously used Pilot Pioneer with R&S TSME6 for 5G network testing in 10 major cities across China. 

Dingli’s Pilot Pioneer 5G is a result of dedicated research and development and continuous field testing to provide end users with an advanced test solution. The focus has always been to align with the industry technology evolution such as demands for SA/NSA 5G NR testing, Qualcomm and HiSilicon chipset support, terminals and frequency scanner measurements, Sub-6/mmWave frequency support and many more. The awarded tender is a huge stepping stone and motivation for Dingli to persistently aim for even more product excellence.
