Dingli Launches Pilot Performer – 5G gNodeB Performance And Conformance Verification For Lab Networks

Dingli Corp Ltd, the global leader in modern mobile network test and measurement, today announced the launch of Pilot Performer, a remotely managed test equipment with operation automation and flexible 5G test device volume option for gNodeB performance verification in a lab environment.

Pilot Performer is a high-performance and integrated test equipment designed to tackle extensive 5G NR test cases ranging from 5G device detection and verification, data and voice services, signalling, gNodeB function and configuration.

The test equipment fits in a standard cabinet installation with the flexibility to handle up to 32 Qualcomm x55 and x62 multi-technology test devices. All test devices can be simultaneously controlled with simple to use AT commands. Pilot Performer also comes with external antennas or a built-in antenna combiner option.

The demand for Pilot Performer type of solution was first originated from (but not limited to) Open RAN vendors where an independent test and measurement solution is needed to validate gNodeB performance between software releases, network equipment models and configuration. This also means applying standardised test campaigns between different network equipment vendors for performance benchmarking.

With easy integration with lab network environment for advanced test cases simulation, test campaign automation and remote execution, Pilot Performer offers great operational and cost efficiency in ensuring gNodeB functions and performance are verified for the live network.
