3Gbps eMBB Download Speed! Dingli Witnessed the Next Milestone

May 6th 2020, China Mobile (Shanxi) and Huawei Technology Co. Ltd successfully demonstrated 5G NR data session using carrier aggregation to achieve data speed of more than 3Gbps at the first 5G Life Festival. Dingli Corp Ltd was onsite and privileged to have witnessed such breakthrough.

In order to provide faster 5G NR data experience, China Mobile (Shanxi), in cooperation with Huawei Technology Co. Ltd had launched the first 5G 2.6G+4.9G inter-frequency 200M Carrier Aggregation (CA) demonstration site for the 5G Life Festival. The test and measurement were conducted with Dingli’s Pilot Pioneer 5G field test solution and Huawei Mate X5G mobile. A downlink throughput of up to 3.1 Gbps was observed, making it the first in China to break the 3Gbps mark, and a record high in 5G terminal test speed.

Huawei Mate X 5G is a flexible-folding-screen terminal that is designed with a creative “Eagle Wing” fold idea. The display screen can be extended upto 8 inches. Huawei Mate X 5G with the new-generation Kirin chipset and Balong 5000 dual-module 5G baseband fully supports SA/NSA.

It is reported that China Mobile (Shanxi) will realize the network 5G coverage in all cities in Shanxi province by the end of June, 2020, to usher the people’s and economy aspiration into digital transformation. In line with this motivation, Dingli Corp Ltd will continue to provide leading solution for modern telecommunications test and measurement.
