About Nextel

Nextel is a Brazilian mobile carrier, originally based on iDen radio technology. The company is fully owned subsidiary of NASDAQ-listed NII Holdings, Inc. which provides a range of telecommunications services through subsidiaries across Latin America.

Challenge

Nextel is the 5th operator in Brazil, serves over 4 million subscribers every day. Nextel was conducting regular optimization and expansion activities on a daily basic to ensure the quality of its mobile network.

Managing these tasks requires significant manpower and resources. High volumes of data were continuously being collected and post-processed with the traditional DT tools, proving to be an inadequate and time consuming tasks.

Nextel needed a solution to speed up the regular network optimization activities, manage and resolve the network issues that failed to provide high quality user experience

After sourced and tested multiple tools on the market, Nextel ultimately selecting Dingli’s Pilot to tackle these challenges.

Solution: Automate to Save Time and Improve QoS/ QoE

Dingli innovative network benchmarking and drive testing solution accelerates the verification of WCDMA 2100Mhz and LTE 1800Mhz, Voice and Data, including MOS. It makes LTE network monitoring, benchmarking and optimization test fast and efficient.

Our solution supports the automated drive test tools to collect the real user data, and Pioneer Expert and Fleet Edge platform to post-process and analyse the collected information.

Most importantly, the automation and analytics of Dingli’s solution addressed Nextel’s main challenge of ensuring an effective optimization process in the midst of rapid network expansion.
